Partner4Work joins a coalition of union workers and leadership from across Pittsburgh’s industrial sector who announced the creation of Pittsburgh Works Together, an initiative intended to support industrial job growth and push back against the negative image they feel industries like steel, natural gas, and construction have been unfairly given.
Family Links has proudly served individuals throughout Western Pennsylvania for over 65 years. Their mission is to positively impact lives through integrated, personalized, and family-centered community-based behavioral and social programs. Family Links aspires to build strong foundations for lives full of hope, health, and independence. They provide services for more than 8,000 individuals each year, many of whom are struggling with addictions, learning to cope with the challenges presented by mental and/or physical disabilities, while simultaneously striving to maintain their independence.

Together with Lyft, William Peduto's office including Majestic Lane, and Rich Fitzgerald of Allegheny County, on December 17 we kicked off the start of a new initiative working to break down transportation barriers for job seekers.
#Lyft’s Jobs Access Program focuses on three key interventions in the employment pipeline that are critical to individual success, and where transportation can play a major role:
- Rides to/from job training programs
- Rides to/from job interviews
- Rides to/from the first three weeks of employment, until individuals receive their first paycheck and begin to pay for their own transportation
Partner4Work's signature #BankWork$ program, and other regional businesses and nonprofits, are celebrated for thinking outside the box to help create and retain talented employees.

As summertime comes to a close, Allegheny County, the City of Pittsburgh and Partner4Work are pleased to announce that the Learn & Earn summer jobs program served more young adults than ever this year.
There were 1,899 city and county youth who obtained jobs through Learn & Earn in 2019, 76 more than in 2018. There were also more young people that completed the program – 1,778 – than ever before in the program’s five-year history.
Partner4Work (P4W), in collaboration with the PA Bankers Association and several of the region’s leading financial institutions, announced the launch of BankWork$® Pittsburgh, a nationally recognized, industry-developed training program aimed at helping individuals prepare for careers in retail banking.
Partner4Work has teamed with the Pennsylvania Bankers Association and several local financial institutions to bring a national program to the region that prepares young adults for banking positions and helps to provide a diversified pipeline of talent to banks as competition intensifies for skilled personnel.

Partner4Work, the PA Bankers Association, and several of the region’s leading financial institutions will announce the launch of the BankWork$ training program in the Pittsburgh region. BankWork$ is a nationally recognized, industry-designed, training program aimed at preparing individuals from low-income and minority communities for entry-level positions in retail banking.
The Department of Human Services (DHS) and Partner4Work announced today that Allegheny County is one of seven jurisdictions selected to take part in the Pathways Forward Challenge. The Challenge, overseen by the Heartland Alliance’s National Initiatives on Poverty & Economic Opportunity, is aimed at more effectively and equitably connecting homeless and unstably housed job seekers to employment.
Allegheny County, the City of Pittsburgh and Partner4Work today announced that the Learn & Earn Summer Youth Employment Program is now accepting applications for this year’s program. Now it its fifth year, Learn & Earn annually connects young adults in Allegheny County and Pittsburgh with summer jobs and work-readiness training.
A redesigned Building and Construction Trades pre-apprenticeship program was announced today by the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania along with funding and program administration partners. “Introduction to the Construction Trades” fully prepares individuals to successfully enter the construction trades apprenticeship training programs in the region where they can develop a long-term, lucrative career.
On March 30, the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania, Peoples and CNX are hosting an event for those interested in careers in construction and allied industries.
