These key programs can help increase opportunity for those with barriers to employment; help young people learn about career paths and dream big about their future careers; and help regional businesses grow for generations to come.
4Construction is a portfolio of programs designed to put participants on the path to success in the skilled trades. By pairing trusted training providers with active worksites, the program creates hands-on opportunities for learning and growth—ultimately connecting graduates with union pathways.
Partner4Work, in collaboration with the PA Bankers Association and several of the region’s leading financial institutions, is proud to launch the nationally recognized BankWork$® training program in the Pittsburgh region to help individuals become qualified candidates for tellers, customer service representatives, and personal banker positions.
The Employment, Advancement and Retention Network (EARN) Program was created in 1987 in order to address the needs of welfare recipients with barriers to employment and to better coordinate the existing employment and training programs available for them. EARN is currently operating in all 67 Pennsylvania Counties.
Partner4Work regularly seeks collaborators who are ready to dig in and get to work on improving the region’s workforce. One such endeavor is called Industry Partnerships, which invites businesses, training providers, and other organizations to join Partner4Work in developing workforce capacity and diversity as they grow.
Good jobs are good for business. Businesses that offer good jobs are more competitive in attracting talent and benefit from increased retention, productivity, and innovation. Partner4Work is dedicated to supporting local employers in implementing good job strategies, including working directly with business leaders through industry partnerships, peer working groups, and one-on-one consulting.
Learn & Earn is a summer jobs program delivered jointly by the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and Partner4Work. The 6-week paid program is open to young people ages 14 to 23 who meet certain income and other eligibility requirements.
