Congratulations to the latest graduates of the Breaking the Chains of Poverty (BTCP) pre-apprenticeship program through the A. Philip Randolph Institute of Pittsburgh.
This group is the first to complete the UPMC Toolbox, a new workforce initiative created through a partnership between UPMC, APRI, and Partner4Work. Participants received hands-on training both in the classroom and at the UPMC Presbyterian Tower jobsite, gaining practical skills and valuable exposure to real-world construction environments.
Each graduate earned industry-recognized certifications and accepted union job offers upon completion. They are now entering the workforce with family-sustaining wages and a solid foundation for long-term career success.
Partner4Work is proud to support efforts that connect people to opportunity and build a stronger, more inclusive regional workforce. 🔧🏗️
