Spring 2025 Youth Civic Leadership Academy (YCLA) Symposium

At the Spring 2025 Youth Civic Leadership Academy (YCLA) Symposium, Pittsburgh’s next generation of leaders took center stage.

Students shared civic research and community-based projects ranging from mural-making in overlooked neighborhoods, to racial justice podcasts, to promoting healthy eating through youth-led gardening initiatives. One group even tackled youth vaping awareness—demonstrating the creativity and commitment these young leaders bring to real-world challenges.

Partner4Work is proud to support YCLA, a program made possible through the leadership of the City of Pittsburgh and powered by Youth Enrichment Services, CCAC, Heinz History Center, and more. With access to college credit, paid internships, and city mentorship, YCLA scholars are not just preparing for careers—they're shaping the future of our region.

A heartfelt thank you to the YCLA team, facilitators, and instructors, your leadership is transforming lives. Because of your dedication, students like Amira, Terrell, and Alan don’t just see a future—they're stepping into it with purpose.
