Partner4Work was recently recognized by Allegheny County Council for its work to strengthen the region’s construction workforce and expand access to careers in the skilled trades. The proclamation, sponsored by Council Member DeWitt Walton, recognized Partner4Work’s efforts to connect residents with career opportunities while helping the construction industry build the skilled workforce it needs.
The proclamation highlighted Partner4Work’s 4Construction portfolio, which connects job seekers with hands-on training, active construction projects, employers, and union apprenticeship opportunities. Over the last year, 150 participants graduated from 4Construction programs, with 106 moving into union pathways.
Jennifer Martin, Partner4Work’s Chief Business Engagement Officer, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the organization and emphasized the partnerships that make the work possible.
“Partner4Work is proud to help bring the right partners together to make that happen,” Martin said. “Thank you to the employers, unions, training providers, and community partners who make these opportunities possible.”
The recognition reflects Partner4Work’s continued commitment to helping residents build pathways into family-sustaining careers while supporting the construction industry’s need for a skilled and prepared workforce.
