Partner4Work Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As the workforce development agency for Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh, Partner4Work has always and will continue to provide the resources for the region’s Job Seekers, Community-Based Organizations, and Employers to grow and thrive.

The last several months have been especially challenging for Black communities, in Pittsburgh, and across our country, as it relates to both COVID-19 and racial injustices.

Partner4Work and its Board of Directors are committed to supporting social justice reform, empowering Black communities, and creating the pathways and mechanisms that allow for Black and Brown residents to have life-sustaining employment, access to advancement opportunities, and the business support needed to compete in the marketplace.

We will move forward and push for change by:
· Continuing to build and celebrate an inclusive and equitable workplace that represents the communities we serve.
· Supporting Black and Brown job seekers on the path to well-paying, sustainable careers with opportunities for advancement.
· Partnering with and helping to build Black-owned businesses.
· Investing in community agencies to address systematic racism to overcome racial disparities.

We want a robust, empowered, and equitable workforce system in Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh. Our region has a way to go, to do more than merely reset to February 2020, and we are ready to work to ensure that it gets there.
