Latonya Strozier, Work Ready Success Story

Latonya Strozier is a current participant in EDSI’s Work Ready program who is interested in beginning a career in the medical field. As a single mother of three, she decided to participate in EDSI’s Multi-Gen program, allowing her to attend an advanced Customer Service Training, while her children received age-appropriate tutoring from licensed teachers. By successfully completing that program, she was able to improve her communication skills and earn her customer service credential. Strozier decided to take it a step further and explore short-term training in the medical field. She was recently approved for financial assistance and will begin MedCerts Medical Front Office & Electronic Health Records program at the end of June. With continued support, encouragement, and resources provided to Strozier through the Work Ready program, she plans to pass the state exam to become a certified Electronic Health Records Specialist. Strozier is an amazing example of how the Work Ready Program continues to provide support, impactful training programs, and resources to help change participants' lives one day at a time.
